All In The Name Of "Research"

So, I am currently working on this little project that has something to do with children right? I’ve been spending quite a bit of time just flipping through children’s books, visiting websites that are dedicated to the kiddies and all that.

I’m hoping to find a sparkle of inspiration and yes, I do it at the office, but it’s all good because I’m doing it in the name of “research!” Hahaha

You know what I realized though? There are just so many nursery rhymes that… well, doesn’t exactly carry messages that I would like to send to children.

Take for example:

Rock a bye baby on the tree top,
When the wind blows the cradle will rock,
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall,
And down will come baby, cradle and all.

Goosey, Goosey Gander where shall I wander,
Upstairs, downstairs and in my lady's chamber,
There I met an old man who wouldn't say his prayers,
I took him by the left leg and threw him down the stairs.

Ladybug, ladybug fly away home,
Your house is on fire and your children are gone,
All except one and that's little Ann,
For she crept under the frying pan.

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails.
That's what little boys are made of!
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice and all things nice.
That's what little girls are made of!

Uhh… is this why there are so many jerks (I'm sorry to say but, mainly guys) out there? It must be the snips and snails! Hahaha
