Be Careful What You Listen To

I don’t know about you, but I really do enjoy driving especially when I’m alone. It’s weird because if I don’t drive for a couple of days I miss it terribly. I even sometimes feel awkward when I sit in the passenger’s seat. I just don’t know what with my hands and my legs. I guess that’s why I often volunteer to pick up my mum from work and stuff.

The four things that I have to have with me when I drive is:

A) Driver’s ID

B) Glasses/ contact lens

C) Pillow (I’m a bit short so it’s very important. I can’t see the road in front of me otherwise :P)

D) Good CDs

Now, A, B and C are pretty straightforward. I don’t have to put any thought into them. D however can be a little tricky at times. Some days I just know what I want to listen to and other days I just can’t decide.

So a couple of days ago I was supposed to pick up my mum. I was coming from home and before that I watching a rerun of My Best Friend’s Wedding on HBO. Now this is one film that I can watch over and over again and still get teary eyed. I know. I’m pathetic. You don’t have to tell me. Hehe

Anyways, I had to leave right after the film ended, so I went to my room to pick out my music for that trip and I guess I was still a little upset because without even thinking, I grabbed Celine Dion’s The Color Of My Love. Hahaha

Cos I’m your lady and you are my man, whenever you reach for me I’ll do all that I cannnnn…..By the way, I still think that this is her best album ever. :P

So I’m lost in my little own world, driving and singing along to the CD, totally unaware of what’s happening around me. When I reached the college my mum wasn’t out yet, so I parked by the building. I turned off the engine, but I left the CD running. Next Plane Out started playing and I absolutely love that song.

Me being in the emo mood that I was in... I unconsciously started singing with hand movements and everything. It was so hilarious because when the song ended, I turned around and there was this dude just watching me! Hahaha How embarrassing! Thank God it was just some uncle-uncle you know. I would have died if it were one of my mum’s students! If it were a cute male student lagilah! I would never show my face there again. Hahaha Oh well, that’s a lesson learned! No emo songs when you’re driving Rozie!
